RB Universal attachment system
ARB has introduced a universal attachment system. In
principle the idea is not new, but problems with loads
sliding around still continue to occur, as for example on
the loading platform of pickups, or when on expedition.
The ARB system consists of 1.2 metre long rails, which
can be shortened to the length required – as an
alternative there are also short 4.5 cm mounting plates.
These are bolted to the loading platform and so serve as
attachment points for the loading eyes, which can be easily
attached to them using quick release fasteners. Two mounting
plates and two loading eyes can also be obtained as a
particularly cost-effective kit. With the correct ratchet straps
–
which are available in various designs – any attachment
problem on the vehicle can now be solved.
