hat is the difference between
ABS and fibreglass?
ABS (Acrylinitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a synthetic
tetrapolymer, a thermoplastic material. The shell is thermally
formed, it is extremely strong but lightweight and formed in
one piece.
Fibreglass is a glass reinforced laminate
Polyesterene, Epoxyresin or Polyamide and is
heavier than ABS
poor in fluctuating temperatures
not recyclable
easier to produce - so it is possible to produce in small
series

recyclable.
The
main
components
are
plastic,
glass and aluminium.
These are easy to put back
into the recycling stream.
